walk with me as i walk with Him
where has another such man existed in our history? a prophet with an unimaginable connection to God. someone who conveyed God’s Word with such eloquence and such faithfulness.
and yet, with ONE transgression against God, He was shunned from the Promise Land. In perfect mind and perfect health, Moses went to die on Mount Nebo for a sin that we commit every single day.
Moses was a great man, “whom the Lord knew face to face,” and he was denied the promise land (Deut 34:10).
We are so sinful and because of Jesus we are given ALL the treasures of Heaven.
I still complain. I still yearn for more.
God let me grateful. Let me appreciate all that You have given, WHO You have sacrificed.
Amen.

okay, let me preface this post by saying I have very little Biblical knowledge.
I am still a very young Christian, and most of what I have posted is just observations that I’ve seen so far, but none of it has been very Bible-based.
sooooo right now I just wanted to say that Acts is pretty awesome so far. I never really knew about any of the people of the Bible besides the main disciples, Jesus, God, Moses, and all of the other more well known people.
but so far, Acts has been blowing my mind. I think that the passages have just flowed really beautiful so far and the telling of stephen’s quick rise then death really just caught my eye. this book just reads like a novel.
I mean come on, did you see the first verse of chapter 8?
its the ending of chapter 7 placed onto a new chapter, like a cliffhanger would be in normally formatted books:
“And Saul approved of their killing him”
i’ve heard of Saul, but what the heck, who is he? I JUST WANNA READ MORE AND FIND OUT.
hahaha i’m so lame and Biblically ignorant…. TIME TO CONTINUE.
(just wanted to throw a thought in)

In Deuteronomy 11, we find Moses talking about our experiences with God. These moments that only we have shared with Him through our own eyes, ears, and hearts. Further, Moses expresses that since we have had these first hand experiences with God, it is our responsible to show our children this love for God!
Honestly I am so excited for this. When my children are truly children, innocent and carefree, this is when it is most important that I show them the beauty of God’s love. The Bible tells us to accept Jesus into our hearts with an innocent and vulnerable heart, and so shall we show our children. I can’t wait to show my children the loveliness of God’s eternal grace. When I think of children of God, i look towards those kids in Sunday School at GSF. They have been brought up with a love and a thirst for God; most of them know more about the Bible and Jesus than I do!
I want my children to be raised in an encouraging environment like that. Where my wife and I can wake up every morning and look forward to presenting our love and faith for God to the whole world, most importantly our children.

Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- Deuteronomy 11:19

God’s Word is something that can be and should be incorporated in every moment of our lives. I really hope to be diligent in spreading this gospel to my children. I want to be able to be free to talk to about God with my children no matter what time it is! I want them to be happy and comfortable with God, their Father and the Father of their father :)
I pray that you give me the strength to be a good, worthy leader of my family. Someone who takes responsibility in his own hands and can show his children the way of the Lord. Someone who is not afraid to put God first in every matter of his household. Lord guide me true!
AMEN :D
